Rabbis Phone call with Senator Feingold 9-27

A prophetic voice in Jewish, multireligious, & American life
Dear Rabbi,
Would you like to take part in a conference-call telephone conversation about the Iraq War with Senator Russell Feingold of Wisconsin?
The phone conversation will take place at midday—beginning at some point between 11 am and 1 pm Eastern time – on Wednesday, September 27.
(We'll let you know the exact time as the Senate's roll-call schedule firms up.)
If you would like to do this, please send your name, synagogue name, home town, and denominational affiliation to THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS –
The Shalom Center has arranged this because many rabbis have asked us for some sense of where opinion on Capitol Hill stands in regard to ending the Iraq War. Some want to incorporate some thoughts on this subject in their Yom Kippur remarks; others, simply to assist them in their own thinking.
Senator Feingold – who shares with his sister, a rabbi, a Jewish sensibility about public policy – and who is one of the most courageous and independent-minded senators – seemed a good choice to consult.
The conversation will focus ONLY on the war – not at all, for example, on politics and the election.
Please write us at Dodi7shalom@aol.com
with the information requested above, and we will let you know details about calling in, time, etc.
Shavua tov and blessings of shalom,
Rabbi Arthur Waskow
